Featuring meaningful management, limitless creativity, and authentic animals, Planet Zoo: Console Edition brought Frontier Development’s BAFTA-nominated creative management simulation to console, complete with over 4 years’ worth of features and content.

The Brief

Dead Good was brought onboard to be Frontier Development's retained global PR agency towards the beginning of 2024, primarily focusing on traditional media PR outreach and creative ideation. The first title launch of this new collaboration was Planet Zoo: Console Edition, which brought the popular sim to home console for the first time. Launching during a busy release window during March 2024, our key remit was to reengage with enthusiasts of the first game 5 years later to reignite their love for it on console.

Media Results

With a relatively short prep time, Dead Good landed over 40 positive international reviews at launch, from the likes of IGN France, IGN Spain, TheGamer, Tom's Guide, GAMINGbible, Push Square and GGRecon. In addition, we placed an exclusive video asset featuring British naturalist and explorer Steve Backshall with NME, while the game gained various other coverage during the course of the campaign (interviews, features, competition placements, etc).
